UcoGear Flatpack Grill and Fire Pit

As a renter, I don’t have the space to have a fire pit or grill. So, discovering UcoGear’s totally portable Flatpack Grill and Fire Pit was a thrill. Now I can make FIRE wherever I go. I absolutely love that.

Campfire Without the Camping

The coolest thing about this well-designed grill: it folds up and fits into a canvas sleeve the size of a laptop. I can literally toss it in my day pack or tote bag. I can take it to a park for a picnic, I can bring it to the beach for late-night hangouts with friends, I can host a bbq on my tiny sliver of a yard. I love a good campfire more than grilling, so it’s fun to know that I can have one without having to camp.

The stainless steel Flatpack Grill and Fire Pit is simple to set up. I just open the folded metal base like a book, arrange the legs into place, place my firewood into the base, then place the grill onto the base. It’s stable enough for grilling, and has a handle that I can use to safely remove the grill when I need to re-stock the fire.

Portable Party

The first time I used the UcoGear Flatpack Grill and Fire Pit I was at a friend’s house for a backyard hangout, my first social event since Covid began. I was silly and nervous, wondering if my friend was still my friend, so I was happy to have the distraction of setting up the grill/pit. It took maybe two minutes, then we tossed in some small pieces of wood and newspaper. Voilà! Fire. Later, s’mores, Cheetos, and LaCroix water.

It was a perfect night. My friend and I sat on opposite sides of the grill/pit, chat-chat-chatting for hours, occasionally feeding the fire, snarfing s’mores, and generally relaxing for the first time since Covid hit. It was almost like we were at a campsite.
