Trew LS Nuyarn Merino Crew for Women and Men

I’ve been living in my Trew LS Nuyarn Merino Crew this winter because I’m a t-shirt gal. I like to keep it simple, and I like apparel that’s both high performing and casually comfortable.

Made out of 125g NuYarn®, an 85% merino wool / 15% nylon blend that’s designed to be “loftier, stretchier, faster drying, warmer, and stronger” than traditional ring spun yarn (in which the fibers are twisted), the Trew LS Nuyarn Merino Crew provides all the performance benefits of wool (insulation, breathability, wicking, regulating body temperature) with the durability of nylon.

The first thing I noticed, and loved, about this long-sleeved top: it’s cut nice and long through the torso and sleeves. Thank you, Trew!! At 6′ tall, I have a terrible time finding women’s tops that are long enough. The hem actually hits below my waistband, so I am fully covered, with the added bonus of sleeves that end just past my wrists. It’s so rare to find a women’s top that fits so well. (Shorter women will appreciate having the option of tucking in the shirt on cold days.)

The second thing I noticed was the fit. The Trew LS Nuyarn Merino Crew has a very gentle shaping, combined with just enough room, to give me a very comfortable fit. It’s not a snug fit, nor a baggy fit. Just right in the middle. Styled enough to fit a women’s body and not at all boxy. With my large chest, I’m self-conscious wearing tight base layers, so this top is a dream for me.

I like the thin material (17.5 micron fine fibers), which does a great job of breathing and helping me stay comfortable when I’m out for a power walk. I always e
nd up wearing too many
ayers, so I appreciate that the top breathes well enough that I can continue my workout without overheating. I’m also a big fan of wool’s natural odor resistance. The Trew LS Nuyarn Merino Crew has been ideal for my busy li
festyle and for travel; I can wear it for four or five days before I have to wash it.

Most often I wear the crew as my daily “go to” top. It fits well, it’s comfortable, it breathes well (good for me because I’m always too hot indoors), and it pairs well with jeans or casual pants.

Available in women’s (XS-XL) and men’s (XS-XXL) sizes in Gunmetal Grey or Captain’s Blue. Size note: I’m usually a size L in most tops and jackets. The women’s top runs small, so I went up to an XL for the chest measurement I needed.

Bottom Line: a wardrobe staple that’s ideal for active use, travel, and every day wear.
