Swifty Chaka Skirt

I always know what I’m getting with apparel from Toad and Co: comfort, style, and easy-care fabric. So it’s no surprise that their Swifty Chaka Skirt has become one of my favorites.

Made out of a 75% Polyester, 19% Tercel®, 6% Spandex blend, the Swifty Chaka Skirt is supremely comfortable. I love the extra wide waistband, which is ruched on each side. The waistband contains a thin band of elastic that adds some “scrunch” to hold the fabric band in place. I like that I can wear the skirt wherever I want: down at my hits, or a few inches below my waist.

I also love the length of the Swifty Chaka Skirt. I’m too old to wear mini skirts, so I like the just-above-the-knee length. The flattering flare cut makes the modest length fun and flirty. There’s a flat, zippered hidden pocket, so I can pack a key, i.d., and some cash when I go out for a power walk. Nice.

I wear-tested a black Swifty Chaka Skirt, and it’s the perfect color for me. I can wear it with my Who concert shirt when I’m out and about, with a merino top for a power walk or short hike, and with a smart-looking v-neck for dinner with friends. I love the versatility; this is the only skirt I’ll be taking on vacation this summer. Add bonus: it’s quick-drying so I can wash it out at night and wear it again the next day!

Available in black, Cedar Stripe, Deep Navy Stripe in sizes XS-XL. I find Toad and Co apparel to run a bit big, but I’m about 40 pounds heavier than usual and found a great fit going up a size. (I will lose the weight this summer, BTW.)

Bottom Line: Easy to care for, easy to dress up or dress down, and an ideal skirt for travel.
