When I first saw the STM Grace laptop backpack, it looked too simple and too thin to be for any serious use. How could it compete with the big laptop case I’d been using that has many pockets, hooks and flaps? However, once I started using my new Grace pack, I realized this pack isn’t simple; it’s sleek and subtle.
The Grace pack fits laptops up to 15 inches. My 15-inch laptop is rather long, and it just barely fit, but I’m still able to zip it shut. The laptop fits into a soft and snug sleeve that is suspended a couple of inches above the bottom of the bag. This design provide side and bottom protection if I accidentally bump into something and when I set the pack down. It has extra padding in the corners and completely keeps the latptop in place.
The Grace pack also has ports for cables so I can wear headphones without the cord getting caught on things, as well as plug other devices into one another or attach a battery pack. The cords and cables connect through ports in each compartment so everything is neatly connected inside the backpack.
There are three main zippered compartments in the Grace pack. The main compartment houses my laptop, my papers, a notebook, personal items, and my tablet. The second compartment can easily hold a tablet or any other device or personal items and has a keychain lanyard for keys. The third and smaller zippered pocket is great for personal items, such as pens, a wallet, sunglasses, and other odd-shaped items. Even though the pack has a slim profile, I’ve found that it can actually hold quite a bit.
The Grace pack is made of a rugged, yet smooth and stylish fabric with easy-to-grab zipper pulls, padded shoulder straps, and adjustable webbing straps. It has padded interior compartments that are lined with faux fur fabric that just feel great every time I reach my hand in there. Available in Dark Purple and Night Sky.
Bottom Line: Stylish, slim-profile laptop backpack that holds a lot and does a great job at protecting my laptop and tablet.
