Stio Men’s Skycrest Insulated Snap Shirt

My every day jacket just got replaced by an every day shirt. Stio’s Men’s Skycrest Insulated Snap Shirt is my new go-to cover for every type of weather from cool fall days to drizzly cold winterish days.

Made out of Pertex® Microlight Minirip Nylon shell and insulated with 60g of Thermore® Ecodown® synthetic insulation, this lightweight snap-down shirt is perfect for everything I do. It’s technical enough and durable enough to wear on the trail; it’s stylish enough to wear around town.

The shirt cut is long and lean, with a shirt tail back hem. The lightweight material hangs really well, and the snap-up collar gives my neck protection against the elements. The Stio Men’s Skycrest Insulated Snap Shirt has two generous side pockets for warming my hands and two flat snap-close chest pockets. It’s a great-looking shirt, and it’s incredibly comfortable.

I really like the light weight, the rain and wind resistance, and the urban style. I’ve worn it everywhere for the past two months: hiking, working outside, out at night. It’s quite warm; I just wear a t-shirt under it for temps down to the mid-30’s. For colder weather, a mid-weight merino top or a lightweight mid layer over a t-shirt keeps me warm. In a winter downpour (I live in Seattle), I wear the Stio Men’s Skycrest Insulated Snap Shirt under my rain jacket. It provides excellent lightweight insulation.

This is one of my favorite pieces of the year. I can wear it year-round since I can use it as a mid-layer in very cold weather and as a campground coverup on cool summer nights by the lake.

Available in green, blue, and black in sizes S-XXL.

Bottom Line: a perfect shirt jacket for all seasons that’s performs well and looks great.
