Royal Robbins Jammer Pant

Lightweight, wrinkle-free, and quick-drying. What more could you want in a travel pant. Well, I’d like a nice zippered pocket for my credit cards and phone, a nice wide waistband, and the options of shortening the pant legs when need to cool off or wade through a stream. Introducing: the Jammer Pant by Royal Robbins.

Made out of 95% Nylon, 5% Spandex fabric with UPF 50+ sun protection, the Jammer Pant is all about ease. The pockets are all lined with mesh to keep the pant light, the pant dries quickly so I can wash it, hang it up to dry, and wear it in just a few hours.  Even better, the fabric is bluesign approved, which means that it contains organic and sustainable materials.

The Jammer Pant has quite a bit of stretch, which allows me a great freedom of motion when I’m out on the trail. I’m normally a size 10 in pants, but tested a size large because I’m more than a little overweight these days. The pant fit well, but as I wear it the fabric does stretch out. If you’re between sizes, I’d recommend sticking to your usual size. I like that my pants are a bit big on me: I just use the drawstring to tighten the waistband.

I’ve worn the Jammer Pant as an everyday pant, on power walks and short hikes, and on days I can’t bear to wear skinny jeans! My only issue with this pant: I trip over the pull cords when the pant legs are cinched up. I need to find a way to tie or knot the cords to shorten them.

Available in Light Khaki and Obsidian, sizes XS-XL, and in three lengths. Love that they come in 34″. Few women’s pants are long enough for me.
