Patagonia Women’s Centered Tights

Quality, fit, and comfort make the Patagonia Women’s Centered Tights stand out from other yoga tights I own. I’m a big fan of these wildly colorful tights!

I loved wearing the Patagonia Women’s Centered Tights to my yoga classes at the Inversion Yoga studio in Jackson, WY, where other ladies seem to always have very put-together yoga attire. Together with my Patagonia Active Mesh Bra and Gatewood Tank, I had assembled a coordinated yoga outfit that not only performed well but looked cute. Out of this ensemble, the Centered Tights were my favorite because they checked so many boxes: they were simultaneously super soft against the skin yet substantial enough to provide compression and support, felt like cotton but wicked and dried like a synthetic, and fit me perfectly.

In the 85-degree room, flowing through an active series of postures, I definitely worked up some body heat and perspiration, but stayed comfortable in the tights both during and after class. I really liked the wider waistband and medium-rise fit because together they provided a flattering amount of coverage, kept my belly in, and stayed in place during inversions and twists.

Sporting the Patagonia Women’s Centered Tights to my local climbing crag, Blacktail Butte, I once again appreciated the wide, flat waistband, coverage, and fit under my harness. While fighting my way up a 5.11 climb that required fancy footwork and lunging for a specific sequence of good holds, I couldn’t help but graze my knees a few times against the rock. Luckily, the sturdy fabric of the tights didn’t catch, snag, or run, and the stretchy fabric and gusseted crotch allowed for free movement. When we got back to the house after climbing, I was in no rush to change out of the tights because they were so comfortable.

The Patagonia Women’s Centered Tights are sustainably made from a Bluesign-certified recycled polyester and spandex fabric and are available for women in sizes XS – XL in Black, Forge Grey, Rivermouth: Andes Blue, Canyon Glades: Craft Pink, Smolder Blue, and Upstream Stripe Small; Drifter Grey.

I’ve been rocking the Rivermouth color, which is an amazingly colorful swirl of blue, turquoise, and white that reminds me of the view of Earth from space. They have a hidden key pocket in the front and a 27” inseam, so they are an ankle length on me. I found the fit true to size.

Bottom Line: Supremely comfortable, well-crafted, medium-rise tights for yoga and whatever else you like to do in tights.
