I never used to bring my phone to the lake because I didn’t have a safe place to store it while I swam. Then I started using swim buoys, and realized it might be a good idea to have my phone with me during my workouts.
Stay Dry
It’s so helpful to be able to stash my essentials (water bottle, keys, snacks) in a swim buoy when I’m swimming or playing in the lake. It’s an added bonus to know that I have extra protection for my phone.
New Wave’s Waterproof Phone Case comes with a swim buoy purchase. It’s a lightweight, see-through sleeve that allows me to use several phone featureswhile it’s in the case. I can turn off the alarm, check the time, send a text, and take a photo.
I just slip the phone into the sleeve, then secure the small levers into “locked” position to seal the case. I’ve used it for several weeks now, and no water has entered the buoy or the phone case.
Bottom Line
It’s nice to have additional phone protection. It’s easy to stash into a jacket pocket, too, so I don’t need to worry about my phone when I get caught in the rain.

Update
9/1/2021. One of the closure knobs fell off. I think best use of this bag would be to keep phone protected from rain while traveling, to protect phones from splashes when poolside or on the beach for a short-term vacation. It’s not submersible or durable enough for repeated, long-term use.
Disclaimer: Always read the small print when you purchase a waterproof phone case, and the follow the manufacturer’s instructions. I use pouches as a second layer of defense since I have a waterproof cases on my phone. Always test the pouch with paper in it before you use it.
