Hoka One One Ora Recovery Slide

It’s been said that you can judge a sport by its specialty footwear, and probably like you, I have an arsenal of “torture shoes” in my gear closet. Whether it’s overly-snug Nordic ski boots or tarsa-twisting sport climbing slippers, the first thing I want to do post-exploit is slip my aching dogs into something a little more comfortable. Hoka One One’s new Ora Recovery Slide was created to do just that.

Like Hoka’s traditional shoe designs, the Ora’s sole cradles my foot (they call it a “bucket seat”) and has a wide, stable midsole. The oversize rocker sole relieves midfoot pressure (I have an injury here; and Ora Recovery Slide definitely works) and helps to enhance my natural gait. The semi-rugged sole design provides better-than-average traction, while the molded EVA design makes it easy to clean. With spring unfolding before us, I can’t wait to give the Ora Recovery Slide a spin as my camp shower and hot springs shoes.

Available in women’s sizes in black and two-tone blue and in men’s sizes in black and dark blue.

Bottom Line:  I’m not going to lie: this sandal is all business. I won’t be running around town in my Ora Slides paired with a cute little skirt, but in terms of pure comfort, they deliver.
