emerginC Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen

I work outside, so I wear a lot of sunscreen year round. Knowing that it sits on my skin for most of the day, I want something that has more natural ingredients in it and works well. I recently tried the emerginC Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen and was very happy with the results.

I find most sunscreens to be heavy or greasy and after I apply them to my skin, I want to wash my hands because they feel sticky or oily. The emerginC Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen is different. It’s a lightweight, non-greasy sunscreen that goes on white and thick, but rubs in easily and ends up feeling more like a lotion than a thick sunscreen. It rubs in well so the white goes away and it feels smooth on my skin and even gives it a light sheen. I don’t bother washing my hands after rubbing it in because it feels smooth like lotion, which my hands need anyway.

The emerginC Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen uses zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as the main ingredients, followed by vitamins, anti-oxidants and natural plant extracts that help moisturize my skin. I’ve been wearing it on both on sunny and cloudy days and it really seems to be offering good protection. The SPF 30 is just right and I re-apply it like regular lotion halfway through the day (as it recommends on the instructions) to make sure I’m still covered.

The emerginC Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen has a very light smell to it and no fragrances that I can pick out. It smells neutral and works well if I choose to wear perfume as it doesn’t add to the fragrance or make it smell different. If I wear something over it, such as a jacket or pants while I’m en route to my sunny destination, it doesn’t stick to my clothing like thicker sunscreens do.

At $37 for a 4.4 oz bottle, I’m not sure how often I’m going to buy it, but for now, I’m enjoying how soft it makes my skin while protecting it from harmful sun rays.
