Detours Georgetown Dry Pannier

I started riding my bike to work to get in shape and save money, and the Detours Georgetown Dry Pannier has made my daily commutes easier.

The bag’s main compartment holds a change of clothes and a pair of shoes, as well as a small toiletries kit. I like the “shopping bag” style of the Detours Georgetown Dry Pannier; the bag stands up on its own, allowing me to pack it very quickly. Once I’ve loaded up the bag, I just roll the top down, then secure the top flap with two buckles. I really appreciate this type of double protection.

I also like how the  Detours Georgetown Dry Pannier attaches to my bike rack with a few sturdy clips; it’s easy to secure the bag to my bike and to remove it when I get to my destination.  The bag comes with a removable shoulder strap, but I never use it. Instead, I use the top handle since I can grab it and go.

The Detours Georgetown Dry Pannier is made out of a TPU-coated nylon material and has sealed seams. For a lightweight and thin bag, it has held up very well. It rains a lot where I live, so I need a bag that will keep my gear dry. I really like not having to worry if my change of clothes is protected. It is. So far, no leaks!

There’s a small zippered pouch inside the bad for my phone and a few pens, as well as a medium-sized pocket on the outside of the bag where I stash all my last-minute items as I’m rushing to get out the door.

Bottom Line: The  Detours Georgetown Dry Pannier has performed well, kept my clothes dry, and it’s easy to use.
