Finally, I can wear flipflops, or, at least a stable, supportive, walk-in-it-all-day-long version of a slip-on style sandal, Deckers X Lab KO-Z GLDTR 3. Wow. This sandal is my new favorite summer footwear because I can wear it all day and my feet stay comfortable. They never get too sweaty or sore. That’s because the KO-Z GLDTR 3 sandal has a contoured footbed with a wool-covered arch (to wick moisture), a toe grip bar, and an upper that’s both wide and long enough to hold my foot into the sandal. The soft sheepskin lining gives me a snug fit and helps regulate my foot temperature. 

Stylish and Stable

Deckers X Lab describes this sandal as giving you “the flip without the flop.” Exactly. I’ve never worn a sandal that felt so free and provided an adequate level of support. I have so many injuries in my feet and legs that I can’t afford to wear shoes that are going to slip off or trip me up. The Deckers X Lab KO-Z GLDTR 3 Sandal stays on my foot, and provides a stable ride. The sole consists of several layers of different types of cushioning and support, including a memory foam layer that springs back with each step. So, I feel the cush while also benefiting from a very stable sole. The sandal never feels wobbly.

Rocking Long Walks

Deckers X Lab footwear is built with “flow” in mind. The KO-Z GLDTR 3 Sandal has a rocker sole that makes walking a breeze because it rolls from heel to toe without excessive flexing through the forefoot. Add the cushy and stable sole, and this is quite a sturdy sandal. I have worn them on hour-long walks (instead of my usual clunky athletic shoes) and didn’t think once about my feet.

Stylewise, the KO-Z GLDTR 3 Sandal is fun and urban, blending elements I’ve seen in hiking footwear, sneakers, and sandals. Since I long ago reserved my other Deckers X Lab favorites, the KO-Z SLIDE, as indoor-only shoes, I am so excited to have an outdoor “slipper” for every time I leave the house. 

These sandals/slippers go with everything I wear, from pants and shorts to skirts and dresses. I love them so much. It’s really a rare thing for me to find footwear I can wear without my orthotics. (See all of our reviews of Deckers X Lab footwear.)
