I live in my workout clothes because I love how stretchy and comfortable they are. Most workout clothes are very form fitting because the manufacturer actually thinks we’ll be working out in them rather than running errands, so it’s nice when I find activewear that isn’t skin tight. I hadn’t thought to shop at Cabela’s for activewear since I thought they only sold hunting and fishing gear. Boy, was I wrong. They actually have a good selection of casual and active wear and carry name brands in addition to their own. The Cabela’s Women’s E.C.W.C.S. Thermal Zone® Base Layer Crew that I have is very sporty with a two-tone color scheme (mine is pink and grey), long sleeves with thumb holes and reinforced stitching.
The Cabela’s Women’s E.C.W.C.S. Thermal Zone® Base Layer Crew is made of three different fabrics. One fabric is a lightweight mesh strategically placed on the undersides of the arms to help with airflow, another is a slightly warmer mid-weight mesh fabric with fleece lining, and the third fabric is the thin heavier-weight fleece lining on the inside of the shirt. When I first put this shirt on, I noticed instantly how soft and warm it was. It’s the perfect shirt for a cold day and has excellent breathability so I don’t have to worry about my shirt getting damp with sweat and then getting cold.
My Cabela E.C.W.C.S Thermal Zone® base layer crew is actually quite technical with an anti-microbial and odor-resistant treatment in the fabric. I have to really get sweaty for this shirt to become damp and smelly! I appreciate this in a base layer because I don’t often get around to washing my workout wear each time after wearing it.
Another thing I really like about the Cabela’s Women’s E.C.W.C.S. Thermal Zone® Base Layer Crew is that it’s very stretchy and it’s not meant to be extra tight. It also has a long cut, so it covers my hips and butt. I like this type of coverage. I chose size medium, and it fits very true to size. It’s easy to wash and dry in the machine and doesn’t shrink.
This is one of those shirts I could literally live in because it’s so soft and versatile, and I really like the long length.
