One of the reasons I left Minnesota, a state I love: mosquitoes. I hate them. I also don’t like wearing chemicals on my skin or apparel with bug repellent in the fabric. I have found a couple of natural products I like, but I don’t always want to smell like citronella or take the time to apply it. Sometimes I just want to sit in my yard with friends and not worry about bugs. With the Thermacell Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller, I can do that now.

Attractive and Portable

The Thermacell Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller has an attractive shape, kind of like a wine glass, and is made of durable, hard-shelled plastic. It looks like it could be a little radio or something, and it functions much like an aromatherapy diffuser, without the scent. Inside, the repeller diffuses scent-free, smoke-free mosquito repellent into the air to cover a 20′ radius. It works for more than five hours between charges, and comes with 12 hours of repellent. (Thermocell sells refills of various sizes.)

I loved this handy repellent. Right out of the box I was able to assemble it, turn it on, and set it down several feet away, and spend a few hours talking with my friend. With absolutely no interference from mosquitoes. Neither of us saw or smelled the misted repellent. We forgot all about the device after we turned it on.

No Fuss, No Mess

The repellent is contained in its dispenser, so I don’t have to touch the liquid. The Thermacell Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller contains an Li-Ion rechargeable battery, so it is much easier to use than some of my outdoor gadgets that require batteries. I can charge the repeller at home or in my car via the USB cord that comes with the device.
