Skhoop Thea Slipover

Lightweight wool vest.

Subtle Style, High Performance

I’m am loving my Skhoop Thea Slipover wool vest. It’s a versatile, high performing winter layer that also happens to be quite stylish. I like the modern, laid-back Fair Isle design, and I love the light weight.

The Skhoop Thea Slipover is made out of an OEKO-TEX® certified knit that’s 80% lambs wool (non-mulesing), and 20% nylon. I’m always eager to wear wool layers because they breathe and wick. It’s an added bonus that wool naturally resists odors, so it rarely needs washing.

I live in a fairly temperate climate where the winter temperatures hover in the low 40s for most of winter, with dips into the 30s high 20s. The Skhoop Thea Slipover is perfect for my needs. It’s all I wear over a thin, long-sleeve merino top and under my rain jacket when temps are in the 40s. On colder days, I swap the rain jacket for an insulation jacket. I heat up quickly when I’m active, so I prefer wearing a vest as my mid layer rather than a thick merino top or an insulation jacket. With two layers of wool I get really good thermoregulation.

Bottom Line

I love this cozy, casual vest. The Skhoop Thea Slipover is an attractive top for daily wear, with jeans or chinos. Again, when a sweater feels too warm, the vest is the perfect top layer for me over a thin top or blouse. It’s a nice travel piece, too, because I can wear it out for hikes, bike rides, and walks, then later put it on again for dinner over a clean shirt. At only 155 grams, it is quite packable; I always have room for it.

Available in women’s sizes XS-XXL in two color options, Graphite and Sand.
