Paka Condór Socks Review

Reviewss: Paka Condor Socks. Burgundy colored socks with contrast white color condor image on the top of the sock.

Thick thermal alpaca socks from Peru.

Comfort and Function

I’m not sure I can wear other socks now that I’ve been wearing Paka’s ultra soft Condór socks. They’re luxurious!

Made out of an alpaca/recycled nylon/tencel blended yard, these thick, padded, yummy socks feel like cashmere and provide the same benefits as merino wool. They’re warm, they breathe well, and they resist odors. I can wear them for several days in a row, and they still don’t smell. They’re ideal for travel when I only pack a couple pairs of socks.

I wear the Paka Condór Socks most often for 1-2 hour hikes and power walks and after my lake swims when I need to warm up my feet fast.

Fit and Style

The Paka Condór Socks have a defined heel cup and a virtually seam-free toe box for fit and comfort. Grippy panels around the mid foot help hold the socks in place. The socks are tall, somewhere between a crew sock and knee sock. It’s a nice length for me because I get a bit more coverage than I do with my usually crew socks. There’s an inch-wide band around the tops of the socks that gently hugs my calves.

These socks aren’t just function; they’re stylish, too. The grey-white toe box, heel, and top hem  provide an attractive contrast to the burgundy sock, and the same color is used for the socks striking condor icon. (See our other reviews of Paka products.)

Bottom Line

I’m a huge Paka fan. Their socks are softer than anything I’ve ever put on my feet, and they keep my feet warm without bulk. Paka donates 1% of profits to provide scholarships for young women in Peru and to support for Peruvian farmers.
