Minus 33 Women’s Wool V-Neck Tee

Ultra lightweight merino tee.

I was looking for a comfortable merino tee that I could wear as a base layer for fall activities, and found exactly what I was seeking in the Minus 33 Women’s Wool V-Neck Tee.

Available in women’s and men’s sizes, this micro-weight tee is very, very thin (17.5 microns fibers), and the material feels soft against my skin. The v-neck style is flattering, a nice variation from my regular round-neck tees. I love the raglan sleeves because they give me a custom fit through the shoulders and make layering easier since I don’t have layers of seams or hems around the tops of my shoulders. The fit leans to body hugging; I wished I hard ordered up because I prefer loose tops. On the other hand, the slim fit is ideal for layering without bulk. 

The Minus 33 Women’s Wool V-Neck Tee is a made out of a blend of 84% Merino Wool, 12% Nylon, 4% Spandex, and it boasts several sustainability and quality credentials, including: OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certified, Woolmark® Certified, Responsible Wool Standard® (RWS) Certified. The wool is sourced in Australia, and the fabric provides 20 UPF. 

This tee has become a favorite for travel because it’s incredibly thin and light. It packs down small when I’m traveling with only a pack, and I can wear it for several days before I need to wash it. Wool naturally resists odors, which means I can pack fewer tops and not worry about finding a washing machine, leaving me more time for adventures. 

The Minus 33 Women’s Wool V-Neck Tee is quite versatile and performs well whether I’m traveling, hiking, or meeting friends for dinner. I can go from one activity to the next because the top breathes and wicks well, and it dries quickly, too. I’m almost always too hot in any situation, so I appreciate wool’s thermoregulation properties. Wool is much comfortable in hot weather than cotton, and now that the nights are getting colder I appreciate the warmth I get when I’m cycling home at night. 

My favorite thing about The Minus 33 Women’s Wool V-Neck Tee is its long length; it’s nice and long through the torso, so I get full coverage. I can’t emphasize enough how much this means to me. I’m 6’ tall and have an abnormally long torso, which means that most often I have to wear a boxy men’s top to get the length I want. I wear The Minus 33 Women’s Wool V-Neck Tee  for my yoga practices, and I love that the top moves with me and keeps me covered. I am grateful for this smart design feature because when it’s cold I want my tummy covered! Women of any height can appreciate having a top they can tuck in when the temperatures drop.
