Cotopaxi Debajo Seamless Baselayer Tight

Midweight base layer made out of recycled nylon

Warm, Wicking Layer

I always remember to wear base layer tops for my outdoor winter activities, but I have a bad habit of heading out wearing only a pair of hiking pants or track pants. Then my thighs burn from the cold. Well, not anymore. Enter Cotopaxi’s Debajo Seamless Baselayer Tight.

Before I go night fishing, and before I leave for a power walk or hike, I put on my Cotopaxi Debajo Seamless Baselayer Tight. I love this stretchy, seamless tight because it’s comfortable and keeps me warm. The material feels thin between my fingers, but it’s much more substantial than my usual wool tights.

I can get pretty warm when I exercise, but I’ve been impressed with how breathable the Cotopaxi Debajo Seamless Baselayer Tight is and how dry the material stays.

I also like the fact that this tight contains recycled nylon (66% recycled nylon, 27% recycled polyester, 7% spandex). It’s quite durable, and has held its shape well over time.

I’m usually not a fan of high-waisted pants (I tested the women’s tight, which has a high waist) but the material is so stretchy that I can roll the top down if I want to. More often I actually like having more coverage. I’m tall with long legs, so the pants were short on me, but I wear thick crew and knee socks in winter so I’m covered.

Details

I’m a size 14 in pants but found the women’s XL to be a bit too big. If you are between sizes, go up for a loose fit and down for a snug fit.

Available in men’s and women’s styles. Men’s tights come in sizes S-XXL, in three colors: Cotopaxi Black, Ink Stripes, and Black Stripes. Women’s tights are available in sizes XS-XL, in three colors: Ink Stripes, Cotopaxi Black, and Bluebird Stripes. (See review of Cotopaxi Debajo Baselayer Crew.)
