Bridgedale Hike Lightweight T2 Coolmax Performance Boot Sock

I’ve been traveling in Sweden for almost five months, and I only packed a couple pairs of socks, including Bridgedale’s Hike Lightweight T2 Coolmax Performance Boot Sock. 

Made out of a high tech blend of 56% Coolmax®/Polyester, 43% Nylon/Polyamide, and 1% LYCRA®/Elastane, this lightweight, versatile crew sock feels soft like cotton but works hard like wool. The sock feels substantial for a lightweight sock, and I like crew style for the extra protection it provides. (I do not like stopping my walks or hikes to remove things from my socks.)

Ideal Fit

I think the Bridgedale Hike Lightweight T2 Coolmax Performance Boot Sock is one of best socks I’ve ever tested. It fits perfectly. The heel cup is well formed and durable, there’s ribbing around the ankle area to keep the sock in place, and the toe seam is perfectly flat. 

The elastic around the top of the sock is perfect, too. Some socks are so tight around the top that they leave marks on my legs. Not this sock. It’s not super snug, but it still doesn’t move around on my foot. For me, never thinking about my socks or my feet during an activity is a sign that I’ve found a stellar sock.

The Bridgedale Hike Lightweight T2 Coolmax Performance Boot Sock’s thin padding in the heel and forefoot is just enough for me when wearing either nimble or clunky hiking and walking shoes for hours-long outings and on day-long travel days. The socks work well with boots, too; they live inside my favorite Blundstones.

Wicks & Breathes

I’m completely blown away by how well this sock breathes and wicks away moisture. I am almost always too hot in every activity, on every area of my body, but when I wear the Bridgedale Hike Lightweight T2 Coolmax Performance Boot Socks my feet stay very comfortable. I never get that clammy feeling because my feet stay dry. 

I have been wearing the socks a few days in a row without washing because I thought they were made of wool. Plus, they didn’t smell, so why not? Now that I know I’m not sure my habits will change because I love wearing these socks so much. They are always the pair I look for first. They feel like the old cotton sweat socks/crew socks I used to wear, but they are so much better because they wick, and they’re more durable than my old socks. 

Durable

I’ve been wearing Bridgedale Hike Lightweight T2 Coolmax Performance Boot Socks several times a week for months, and there are no holes or even wear marks. I really love that.
