Bridgedale Ultra Light T2 Merino Sport 3/4 Crew

I’ve been wearing Bridgedale’s Ultra Light T2 Merino Sport 3/4 Crew socks several times a week for the past five months for hiking, walking, and cycling outings, and they have performed at the highest level. 

Made out of a merino wool, nylon, and LYCRA® blend, the Bridgedale Ultra Light T2 Merino Sport 3/4 Crew sock has been ideal for my needs. It’s lightweight and has very light padding under the forefoot and heel, just where I need it. More important, this comfortable sock is effective at keeping my feet comfortable and dry. The material breathes and wicks well, with an added ventilation system woven into the top of the sock. 

Since the Bridgedale Ultra Light T2 Merino Sport 3/4 Crew sock is only one of four pairs of socks I packed for this trip, I often wear it as an every day sock. I’m amazed by how well it resists odors (I go many days between washings) and by its durability. No holes or even wear marks yet. 

The Bridgedale Ultra Light T2 Merino Sport 3/4 Crew sock fits well. It’s not skin-hugging or loose, but feels somewhere in between. The seamless toe box is perfect for me. Plus, it’s roomy enough that I can easily wiggle my toes, which is vital for me. A defined heel cup and contouring panels around my ankle and arch keep the sock in place without any tightness or pinching. Another key features for me; I hate when my socks move around when I’m active. 

While confirming the sock’s specs on Bridgedale’s website, I noticed the claim that this sock returns to its shape/size after washing. I hadn’t thought about it, but now that I am looking back over many washings, I remember seeing the Bridgedale Ultra Light T2 Merino Sport 3/4 Crew socks on the clothesline looking very much like they had defined shapes. Nice!

I am a huge fan of crew socks, mostly to protect my lower legs from scratches and dirt, but now I prefer the Bridgedale Ultra Light T2 Merino Sport 3/4 Crew. It feels a bit more nimble and sporty than a crew sock, and it provides better coverage than a low-cut sock. The 3/4 length sock did a remarkable job of keeping out debris while not leaving elastic marks on my skin.
