White Sierra Batista Shirt

Snappy Poolside Casual

Summer is here, and my Batista Shirt from White Sierra is a perfect garment for the warmer months. The combination of the loose fit and open-airy weave allows for ample air circulation to help me stay cool when the day gets hot.

Everything about this shirt says casual: the soft textured look, the feel of the fabric, and how it fits. It’s better suited for a lunch at the taco cart than dinner at a restaurant with cloth napkins. That’s not to say it isn’t a good looking shirt. A streamlined design (including a pattern-matched chest pocket) and metal buttons up the front all come together to create a simple and unassuming shirt.

white-sierra-batista-shirtThe fabric is woven in such a way that it has a texture that’s apparent both visually and by touch. It does not detract from the overall softness of the fabric but it has the added effect of concealing any wrinkles that may result from time packed in a suitcase or sitting in the clothes hamper overnight. Plus, the modal/polyester blend dries quickly if I find myself in the crossfire of an epic Super Soaker showdown.

My Batista Shirt has a straight hem, and it’s cut long enough to give good coverage in the back. I can ride my bike or bend over with confidence knowing that I’ll be covered from behind.

Available in Ocean (blue plaid) or Sand (beige plaid) in sizes M-XXL.

Bottom Line: My White Sierra Batista Shirt is a mainstay garment for warm weather. It’s casual appearance, soft textured feel, and resistance to wrinkling make it a great candidate for a travel or everyday shirt.
