Munk Pack Protein Cookies

Thanks to Munk Pack’s yummy protein cookies, I have turned into Cookie Monster.

I love them. They’re big, thick, tasty, and chewy. Fluffy like cake and dense like a brownie all at the same time. I am done with dry, crumbly, grainy, seed-y nutrition bars; they’re just calories to me. When I get to eat a Munk Pack Double Dare Chocolate cookie it’s so much more than fuel. I feel happy. Joyful even. I savor every bite. And there are a lot of bites involved in eating a Munk Pack cookie. It’s quite satisfying.

With 360-380 calories and 18 grams of protein, one Munk Pack cookie revives me on the trail, saves me from having to eat airplane meals, and gives me the energy I need when I’m late to class and need to get my mind focused fast. I have never in my life been able to eat just one cookie!

Munk Pack cookies are now my “go to” meal replacements. I’m an eat-on-the-go gal because I’m always running late, I’m a lousy cook, and when my life gets too busy I forget to do the shopping. I used to carry two peanut butter and bagel sandwiches whenever I went hiking, on day trips, or knew I wouldn’t make it home for dinner. I could have lived forever on peanut butter bagels, but I had to give that up when my doctor told me to follow a paleo-style diet. No more bread, no more baked goods. What’s a carb-loving vegan to do?

Lucky for me, Munk Pack cookies are gluten-free and vegan, as well as non-GMO, soy-free, and contain fiber. They’re also much lower in sugar than the smoothies I make. One of the reasons I love these cookies so much is that I don’t like sugar-sweetened food. When I eat a Munk Pack cookie I can enjoy the chocolate or peanut butter flavor (and the chocolate chips inside the Double Dare Chocolate  and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip cookies) and the chewiness without all that sugar. Without all that oil. That might sound boring to some people, but like I said, there are chocolate chips!

These cookies are ideal for travel; I can toss several in my bag and avoid airplane food, even during international flights. I realize I’ve been eating a lot of Munk Pack cookies lately (grad school!), but oddly, they’ve helped me clean up my diet. I was starting my days with smoothies, which had way too much sugar, not enough protein, and always left me hungry an hour later. Now I have given up on feeling guilty about not making something for my first meal of the day. I make healthy meals on the weekend for the upcoming week, so I just have to reheat then when I want dinner or a big lunch. Starting my day is simple; I just eat a breakfast cookie with my morning tea, and I’m good to go, go, go.

I find that Munk Pack cookies keep me full for a long time so I don’t snack on or replace meals with chips and junk food. I also have more brain power to start my day then I got from smoothies.

Munk Pack cookies come in four flavors, Double Dare Chocolate, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin Spice, and Coconut White Chip Macadamia.
