A sleek black weatherproof plus-size pouch designed to fit into a cycling jersey pocket.
I’m always excited to find a new brand, especially when it’s a small, independent company that makes high-quality gear AND is committed to sustainability.
Sustainable Style

To prevent waste, Fierce Hazel only manufactures small batches of products at a time. All of its packaging is compostable, recyclable, or made from recycled materials. Products are cruelty-free, 100% vegan, and ethically produced. (Read more about their sustainability and ethical standards here.)
The Tour de Fierce Ultralight Cycling Case is a unique zippered wallet for its sharp style and roomy design. I love the retro “Fierce Hazel” label; so nerdy-cool. The material, a silicone-coated nylon, has so far been quite durable. I am not very gentle with it, and after weeks of use it still looks new.
Optimal Organization
Inside the case there is a zippered pocket on one side, where I keep cash, my I.D., and my essentials cards. On the other side of the case there’s a sleeve-style pocket where I carry an iPhone charging cord, a pen, and a Sharpie marker. In the main compartment I put my iPhone SE (in its case) and a small notepad. There’s a handy lanyard inside the case, too, where I can secure my keys. The organization is brilliant.

I can carry everything I need so that in most situations, I don’t need a purse or pack. The case is bigger than the average wallet but smaller than a purse or hip pack. Cyclists can easily fit essential tools into the case, then use the sleeve on the back of the case for phone storage. I just got a new iPhone 12, so I now stash it (in it’s protective case) in the outer sleeve, which snugly holds it in place.
I like the large black looped zipper pull with contrast red stitching (a small but eye-catching detail) because it helps me locate the zipper quickly. When I use the Tour de Fierce Ultralight Cycling Case in my daypack, I attach the pack’s lanyard to the zipper pull so I can get the case out of my pack easily. I can’t stress enough how much I need this type of simple organization.
Pouch Plus
Most often, I use the Tour de Fierce Ultralight Cycling Case as my daily wallet. It rains a lot where I live so I appreciate the waterproof zippers and water-repellant material. I wouldn’t submerge the case in water, but I have been caught out in the rain on long walks and the case, in my jacket pocket, didn’t let any water in.

The Tour de Fierce Ultralight Cycling Case has been an ideal wallet/mini purse for my outdoor passion, open water swimming. My swim buoy is pretty leakproof, but things still seem to get wet. There’s moisture in there. Aside from my keys, I usually put the other items I carry (inhaler, stopwatch, snacks) into waterproof plastic bags before I put them into the buoy. Since I have a waterproof shell on my phone, I feel safe putting it into the Tour de Fierce Ultralight Cycling Case, then putting the case into the swim buoy. I’ve been out for at least a dozen swims, and have never had any moisture get into the case.
California-based Fierce Hazel was created when its founder couldn’t find a small-medium sized bag for cycling that fit her needs. The company offers a limited line of stylish cycling-inspired bags and pouches made out of material remnants left over from larger companies.
Bottom Line
I love this medium-sized case. It holds everything I need, and it is darn fancy. I’m an urban gal at heart, and I love having a high-quality bag that works in the outdoors but gives me style cred on the street. I also like that this case is big enough to hold my passport so on my next overseas adventure I can have everything in one place.
