I enjoy craft festivals and farmers’ markets, but after a few purchases I always wish I had more hands to carry everything home. Fortunately, the Eagle Creek Packable Tote/Pack has given me a versatile solution for these types of excurions. All I have to do is toss the tote, which folds into its own 8.25 in x 8. 25 in storage pouch, into my bag or pack before I leave the house.
At just six ounces, the Eagle Creek Packable Tote/Pack is so compact and lightweight that there’s no reason not to bring it along wherever I go. When the need strikes for more carrying capacity, I just unzip the pocket pouch and pull out the roomy 11.75 x 15.25 x 4.75 inch tote. Depending on the situation, I can carry the bag as a tote by the two handles on top, or, when I have my hands full, the two handles will lengthen into longer straps to allow the tote to be worn as a backpack.
Made of a super lightweight but sturdy nylon fabric, the Eagle Creek Packable Tote/Pack is easily accessed through a large zippered opening on top. While most totes like this would have one zipper along the top, this one has two. For extra security, I clip the two lockable zippers together with a TSA lock or a small carbineer, and then clip the two zippers to the reinforced central lock point. This a great feature to prevent pickpockets from opening the pack when I’m walking through crowds or when I’m wearing it on my back. In addition to the big main compartment, the bag also has a roomy front pocket that I use for quick grab items such as pens, lipstick, admission tickets, etc. It also contains a key fob to keep my keys where I can always quickly find them.
The Eagle Creek Packable Tote/Pack has proven to be one of those “sleeper” items that I never knew I needed but that has, in a short time, become something that I rarely go anywhere without! I have used it far more often than I had ever expected, and because it folds up into such a small and lightweight package, even when not using it I usually don’t even realize it’s tucked away in my purse or backpack.
