Title Nine Sleeveless V-Neck Dress : Stay Cool Under the Collar

Every year I go to Minnesota for a month to visit my college friends. I try to make the trip with only carry-on luggage, so I choose my clothing very carefully.

This year I'll definitely be packing my Sleeveless V-Neck Tomboy Dress, a Title Nine classic made by Horny Toad. This super soft tank dress makes the cut because it perfectly satisfies all of my checklist needs. It's comfortable to wear, it's easy to wash and doesn't need ironing, and it's appropriate for every event I am likely to attend--from picnics to my college reunion to a dance or theater performance.

I pretty much only wear natural fibers--organic cotton and merino wool-so I love the feel of this dress on my skin. It's made out of cotton and Tencel, a fiber made out of wood pulp cellulose, with a bit of poly and spandex. What I like about this dress is that I get the feel of cotton and the drape of a silkier fabric, with enough stretch in it to make it ideal for active wear and attractive and form fitting for evening. Plus, it's durable so I can toss it in the wash when I need to.

I really appreciate the simple, A-line cut. The hem hits about mid-thigh, which is both modest and shows enough leg. There are darts in the bust line and in the back of the dress that subtly shape it so it conforms to my curves very well. For a sporty style, it's plenty hot enough! I personally like the sleeveless style because I'm pretty top heavy. I wear heavy-duty bras, so the strappy, camisole-style tank dresses don't work for me, nor do the empire bodice dresses that are so popular this season. Thanks to Title Nine and Horny Toad for creating a dress that anyone can wear.

Love the fabric on the dress I tested. It's "black," but actually a pattern of very fine horizontal grey and black stripes. Kind of a nice change of pace since I always wear black. Available in XS (2) - XL (16). I am almost always a size M or 10/12 in dresses, and this dress fit true to size for me. Colors: Black, Blue Whale, Pool, French Roast.
