Spenco Replacement Insoles : So Good You Won't Even Notice Them

So these insoles arrived in the mail to test. I tossed a pair into two different pairs of shoes, then I pretty much forgot about them. Truth is, I've been meaning to write about them all week. But for some reason, they keep slipping my mind. And I haven't thought about my feet all week, either.
That's the sign of a good insole: you don't even notice that it's there. The two pairs I tested--the Spenco for Her Q Factor and the PolySorb Total Support insoles --fit that mold. Both insoles support the medial and metatarsal arches of the foot, and both have a low-friction, anti-microbial cover to reduce blisters and odors.
I used the Spenco for Her in my everyday black sneakers. The idea being the Spenco for Her Q Factor insoles -- to counteract the effect of a woman's wider pelvis and larger angle of the quadriceps muscles between the knees and hips. With a support system designed for my body, I get better alignment and no knee pain.
I used the PolySorb insoles in my running shoes. I've had problems on-and-off with plantar fasciitis, and over the years I've tried to buy only shoes with firm arch support. The Total Support insoles are heat-moldable, so I can tailor them to my feet if I need to (they worked just fine for me out of the box).
Since I've had these insoles, I've ramped up my running for a race coming up in January, but my feet haven't shown the wear-and-tear they normally do. I've also kept wearing out my black sneakers in total comfort. A scientific insole study? No, but then again, my feet aren't complaining.
Sizes: Spenco for Her has five sizes, to fit women's shoe sizes 3-12. PolySorb Total Support insoles have seven sizes, to fit youth, men's 6-15, and women's 3-12.
