Plantronics Explorer 370 Ruggedized Ear Piece : You Can Hear Me Now
I love gadgets and their accessories as much as the next geek, but not much of a cell phone user. Still, I like the idea of hands-free use. So, I gave the Plantronics Explorer 370 a try. I tested the "ruggedized" model designed for active and outdoor use. I like it's resistant to the elements and that i's smooth and sleek and lightweight. I also like that the headset, which is really an ear piece, comes with a lanyard. In the rare case that it does fall off my head, I'm not going to lose it or trample it. (The Explorer also comes with an AC wall charger and works with 120 or 240 volts with appropriate adapters.) Set up is easy thanks to Bluetooth technology (and a PDF instruction manual I downloaded from the Plantronics web site). Once I charged the Explorer, it took about ten seconds to pair it with my phone. It took me a bit longer to fit the ear piece because I thought I knew how to do it! After a quick peek at the instructions again, I had my piece firmly attached to my ear. Then I just started calling friends and chatting away. Cool. Hands-free talking while walking, while power walking, while walking on the trails by my house in a drizzle. All good. The ear piece stayed in place, the connection was clear, and I got my exercise in. I can change the volume, dial by voice, reject a call (I would never!), and redial a call. What's not to love? Bottom Line: Simple to use, hands-free calling in a weather-proof case.--E.D. (Dec 09) BUY ONLINE : $79.99, half off at Amazon.com Manufacturer's Site: www.plantronics.com |
