PacSafe Security Neck Pouch : Keep Your Money Close
When I travel I don't really worry about someone discreetly (or openly) slashing the straps or pockets of whatever pack or pouch I'm carrying because I'm usually not traveling in dangerous locations. However, a lot of people do worry, especially when traveling in unfamiliar territory. For them, the PacSafe Security Neck Pouch is a must-have travel item. Personally, I say keep it simple and don't carry things that people will covet. Stick to a small pouch that will hold your credit cards, passport, and money. That's it. Then tuck it into your shirt. PacSafe's pouch is made out of liglhtweight nylon, with a soft, fleece-like back that rests against my chest. The double neck cords feel like cotton but are reinforced with wire. I can adjust the cords depending on where I want the pouch to rest when I'm not using it. I like the organization of this safety pouch -- the slim main compartment is divided in two by a thin layer of nylon. So I can keep documents on one side, money in the other. There's also a small zippered pocked for credit cards. For extra safety, this pocket has a velcro sealed "snap" that had to be opened in order to fully unzip the pocket. Once all my essentials are inside, I just fold over the protective flap, which fastens with velcro. Available in black or tan. Bottom Line: If you'd like that extra security of keeping your valuables next to you, this little pouch will do the job.--E.D. (Feb 09) Price: $13.95, click to purchase
