Le Mystere Lace Tisha Bra

Trying to find a bra when you have a small rib cage and a large cup sizes can pretty demoralizing if you don't know where to look.

I'd heard about the Le Mystere lingerie brand, thanks to Oprah, so I went downtown to get a professional fitting. Thanks to Nordstrom's, I found a Le Mystere bra that's perfect for me.

The Lace Tisha Bra is an underwire, three-hook, molded-cup bra with delicate lace along the top edge of the bra. It's also seriously padded, which I don't need for volume but I appreciate for modesty's sake. I don't like how my chest can advertise that it's a chilly day, so a bra with some padding keeps me and my body private! I like that I can wear this bra under my thinnest organic cotton tee and get a completely smooth, rounded look.

For a full-coverage bra, the Lace Tisha has a nice low cut so i can wear it with all of my scoop-neck and v-neck tops. I also like that the shoulder straps are offset - again, it opens up my neck area for dresses and tops with wider necklines.

I've never worn a molded cup bra before--it's a completely different feeling. I'm used to wearing sports bras that give me a fair amount of compression or cup-style bras that hug my breasts and hold them in place. With the Le Mystere Lace Tisha my breasts rest in the cups but don't fully fill them. Still, the underwire and side support wires do keep me in place. I've worn the bra to many evening events and didn't think of it once, so I guess that means it did the job and I was comfortable!

Traditionally, I've been a 32DDD, then a 32G, but my body has changed over the past few years. In some brands a 34G fits me best, and that's the case with the Le Mystere Tisha Bra. In the end, though, I was fitted in a 34H because for some reason the band of the 34G didn't fit right. So, getting a fitting is always a good idea since sizes vary among styles and among brands.

This bra has become my "dress up" bra for all occasions where I want a nice shape and full coverage over thin or clingy tops. Le Mystere's Lace Tisha Bra (965) is a bit pricey ($76), but then again, so are all of the bras I buy. If you have trouble finding bras that fit, you know that when you find one that does, it's worth the price! (See shopping links below.)
