Keen Howser Slippers : For Men and Women

I've always been a Keen fan because I like the way their shoes fit and function. Currently, I'm really enjoying Keen's new Howser slippers because they're comfortable and fun to wear.

The upper is made out of a quilted nylon that makes my feet look (and feel ) like they're snugly wrapped in little down jackets. I like the roomy fit and rounded toe box; my toes have plenty of wiggle room. I also really appreciate the soft, fluffy, thick microfleece lining because I can wear the Howser slippers without socks and stay plenty warm. The removable insoles are quite thick and cushy.

The Howser slippers have a natural rubber sole, which comes in handy when I want to go run errands or go out for lunch and don't want to put on shoes. The soles are sturdy enough for walking around town and provide good traction on wet pavement. These slippers weren't designed to be worn during outdoor adventures, but they are coated to provide some water resistance. And they look pretty cool with jeans. (Click to shop. icon)

Men's sizes: 7-14 in black. brown, blue. Women's sizes 5-11 in black, blue, orange, green, purple. I tested a men's size 9.5, my usual size, and found them to fit true to size.

Bottom Line: Cozy, slip-on slippers with a bit of street appeal.--B.M. (Nov '10)
