Horny Toad Marty Skirt : Sassy Comfort

I've always admired the gals with pizzazz. You know, the women who seem to have just a little more style, a hint more flair, a soupçon of something sassy that makes them stand out in a crowd.

I've always reached for my jeans every morning because they beat everything else for comfort--but now Horny Toad's Marty Skirt has helped me change my routine. It's a flirtatious little number that gives me the comfort I'm used to but in a far more eye-catching garment.

The Marty skirt is fabulously flattering, thanks to the slimming bias-cut. It shows off my curves without stretching or binding. Ditto for the wide waistband, which stays in place and doesn't pinch or feel confining--just like my favorite pair of jeans.

The hem hits right at my knees, which I like. It's short enough to be playful (I've noticed a few heads turning to check out my skirt--especially when I pair it with my favorite pair of boots) and long enough that I don't show too much leg when I cross my legs or crouch down to open my post office box.

The versatile, soft fabric (a Tencel/cotton blend with a hint of spandex) looks great dressed up or down. I've paired it with a tee for low-key dinners and dates at the coffee shop, and I've also worn it with cashmere at nighttime gallery openings and cocktail parties. Dressy or casual, it never fails to elicit compliments, which is why I love my Marty. It lends me a little spark without costing me comfort.
