Gramicci Marfa Lyte Shirt : Just Like Your Favorite Old Shirt

The first thing you need to know about me is that I'm not always allowed to pick out my own clothes.  

Yes, I am an adult male, and although I wear corrective lenses, I have very good color vision. I think I've done a good job of assembling a wardrobe that leans toward the functional while giving an occasional nod to the stylish.  

But my wife, see, she has what you might call high standards. Really high standards. So I considered it no small victory when I appeared in our back yard sporting my new Gramicci Marfa Lyte Shirt, and the first word out of her mouth when she saw me was, "Cute!"   Since then, the shirt has consistently received unsolicited compliments from a wide range of friends and strangers.  

I knew that I liked the shirt on first sight, but couldn't figure out exactly what caught my eye until I learned that Gramicci prides itself on its special dye processes (including hand dyeing and hand printing), which result in a subtly unique look for each garment.   In addition to the natural coloring (the hue my shirt is aptly described as Green Tea), the creative stitching gives the shirt a distinct rough-looking texture that does indeed make one think of the highland plains of Far West Texas where the artists' Mecca of Marfa is located.

Now that's all fine and good, but what really makes me happy, and as it turns out, what makes my wife like the way clothes look on me, is when a particular article of clothing evokes the sense of comfort.
