Balanzza Ergo Digital Scale : It'll Pay for Itself
Ever arrived at an airport already harried by the crowd only to be told that your luggage is over the weight limit? Unfortunately, by then the alternatives are slim: pay additional fees for each overweight bag, or open the suitcase on the floor at the counter to redistribute the goods between other bags, usually in front of everyone in line. Embarrassing and time-consuming. No more of this for me! And no more standing on the bathroom scale with my suitcase before each trip. I've discovered the Balanzza Ergo digital scale. With the airlines now restricting the weight of checked luggage more tightly than ever, some carriers are charging fees of between $50-$100 for each overweight bag. Operating this digital scale could not be any quicker or easier. Just clip the strap of the scale onto the luggage handle, and lift the scale. Once the weight is registered the automatic hold feature will beep, indicating that the weight has been taken and stored on the large digital display for review. At only 8 oz, this compact scale fits easily into my luggage and carry-on bags. I will definitely be taking it to Europe this fall. While U.S. airlines typically allow bag weights up to 50 lbs maximum, the European discount airline carriers limit bags to only 33 lbs. Down-sizing for these mid-trip flights (especially the return trips with new souvenirs and gifts included) is always challenging, but I expect that this time around the Balanzza Ergo digital scale will make it all much easier. Available in black or green. Bottom Line: Packing this small digital scale is going to make my travels easier and pay for itself many times over by helping me avoid surprise excess weight surcharges. --C.W. (May 09)
