Ahnu Belgrove Shoe : An Eclectic Lifestyle Shoe

I knew nothing about the Ahnu Footwear Company when I recently received a pair of Belgrove shoes from their Lifestyle line.

Their clean lines and simple but slightly technical appearance immediately impressed me. They had the "form" side of things covered, but since they were so cool looking I was skeptical of how they would do in the "function" category. I put them on and went about my life. I've hardly taken them off since.  

I've been wearing them all over town for a variety of activities.   They're nice enough that I wore them to a casual dinner party one night then the next day I was wearing them to run errands and do a little tinkering around the house.

Like most adults, I do my best to avoid stepping in puddles and such. Sometimes the rain comes down so hard that everything is a puddle. This was recently the case in the library parking lot when I went to return some books. I did my best to aim for the shallower parts as I sprint-vaulted through the watery gauntlet but some hefty splashes told me that I missed more than once. I made it to the front door without falling on my keester (a testament to the traction provided by my Belgrove shoes).   My feet were still dry when I got inside.

Bottom Line: I really like that the laces come all the way down to the toe.   It's reminiscent of a technical climbing shoe. --A.S. (Dec 09)
